CMAC is an ever-increasing
family of students, teachers, parents, etc. Every year some
students move in this family and some move out to join the
marketplace as CMAC ambassadors. Every member of this community
is special. All CMAC students develop their own story of success
and achievements while they carve a unique niche in the
industry. To establish a link between the new and old members of
the family CMAC organizes Alumni Café every Tuesday
afternoon. Nostalgic visit down the memory lanes that is how
pass outs view this program and glimpses of bright future is how
current students view it.
Alumni café began this year with Kumar Kundan, 2003-2004
batch PGD in Journalism student. Kumar is presently working as a
reporter with Total TV and he interacted with the students. He
told them what the TV industry is all about.
During the orientation week CMAC also hosted Bhumika, 2003-2005
batch MJMC student, currently working as reporter with India TV.
She had a lively interactive session with students about the
challenges and opportunity in television media.
In the month of September, CMAC had alumni coming in every week
to talk to the current students. On 12th September Ravi Garg
(2002-2005 batch) working with Zee Business came to apprise the
students with the functioning of a news channel with insights of
the business news. He also motivated the students to do all the
practical work assigned by the college as that doing that
benefited them in the industry.
On September 19, Sumeet Kapila came to interact with the
students. He is currently pursuing further studies in animation
and working as graphic designer Young Angels a youth. Akshay
Sharma came to interact with students. He is currently doing
freelance work in Mumbai. He has prior experience of working
with IBN-7 also. Akshay got very emotional about coming back to
the college.
On September 26, CMAC students were desperately waiting to meet
somebody who is well known and part of CMAC family: Piyush
Pushpak, CNN-IBN Bihar correspondent. Piyush shared his
cherished moments with CMAC. Piyush spoke to the students about
the significance of changing with the time. He emphasized that
though a reporter is king in a state but the pressure of working
in a bureau is immense.
